Water is life in its most ordinary and extraordinary form. It is the glass beside us, the rain above us, the river beyond us and the unseen system holding together our health, food, climate, cities and natural world.
Young people will inherit the consequences of today’s water choices. They should also inherit the knowledge, confidence and opportunity to make better ones.
Tech Oasis invites them to begin now. Through Water x Planet, students learn why water matters, help others see it differently and explore how science, creativity and technology can protect its future.

Every participant begins with Education, brings the learning to life through Awareness, and may continue into Innovation. The pathway is clear enough for a school to deliver, flexible enough to reflect local water realities and open to complete beginners.
Why water
One subject connects us all
Before water is a topic, it is a condition for life. It decides whether a child can stay healthy, a farmer can harvest, a wetland can survive and a city can withstand heat, drought or heavy rain. It connects the most personal routines of daily life with some of the defining challenges of our century.
Water also makes a vast global issue tangible. A student can notice it at a tap, trace it through a neighbourhood, ask how weather changes it, investigate how technology measures it and begin a conversation that reaches far beyond the classroom.
That is why we choose water. It belongs to everyone, yet no two communities experience it in exactly the same way. It is scientific and human, local and planetary, ancient and urgently connected to the future.

Our mission is to inspire and equip one million young people to understand water, speak for its future and explore solutions through science, creativity and technology.
We want young people to see themselves not as spectators to environmental change, but as careful observers, trusted voices and capable contributors. A million is our moonshot. It begins each time one learner understands something deeply enough to help another person care.
Meet Selena
One question became a wider opportunity
Selena’s journey began with a practical water-saving idea for her school. The project received second prize in a UAE-wide competition involving 118 schools across all seven emirates. At eight, she became the youngest and only girl finalist in the Stockholm Junior Water Prize Renew Our World Innovation Challenge.
That first question opened doors to larger conversations at COP28 in Dubai, WISE in Qatar and UNESCO World Youth Skills Day through the Learning Planet Institute in Paris. Each experience strengthened the same belief: young people should not have to wait to care, learn or contribute.
Water x Planet carries that belief forward by making Selena’s journey an invitation for many more young people to begin their own.
